Paul and Aggie Evans

Ten years ago Paul & Aggie Evans became the owners of Canyonlands Campground and the (then) Shell station.  Ten years later a lot of changes have taken place.  A new store front, office, laundry, and pavilion gave the campground a much needed face lift.  Adding propane, cabins, and wi-fi, along with the Texaco Brand completed the new look. With over 300 trees the campground provides a full service oasis for visitors from around the world.

The Texaco Station is more than your average C-Store.  Great gas, free air, a full selection of snacks, beverages, deli items, sundries, RV Supplies, and a gift shop with affordable souvenirs are just some of Canyonlands Texaco’s award winning features.  Gecko Espresso is the newest addition.  Under the direction of “Barista Tammy,” there are drinks - hot or frozen for everyone. We offer a large variety of gourmet teas, steamers, and Frozen Frescantes. This is a great place to start your day and catch up on the local “gossip.” Join our  coffee club and when you get six drinks, the seventh is free!

Running two separate businesses leaves little time to give back to the community that  has been so supportive of us. Looking for an area that we could provide assistance to, we were introduced to Search and Rescue.  This is a group of volunteers that gives so much of their time and put themselves in jeopardy to help others. Our station donates 1000 gallons of gas each year to help this wonderful group of men and women.  We are very grateful to be living in this beautiful area and to be a part of such a unique community.

Canyonlands Campground and Texaco is located at 555 South Main in Moab and may be reached at 435-259-7212.
